Tara Doherty (she/her), Director of Academic Services, is a bi-lingual Ontario Certified Teacher, with a neurodiversity-affirmative perspective. She has over a decade of experience working one-on-one with students with Autism, using the principles of ABA and IBI and holds a BA in Psychology.
Tara has over two decades of experience working collaboratively with outside agencies, teachers and parents in order to support student success by developing IEPs, navigating education services and identifying relevant resources. Tara has expertise in overseeing and delivering evidence based reading, writing and spelling interventions using direct instruction. As a coach at Possibilities Clinic, Tara supports one-on-one executive functioning, assistive technology coaching and Autism coaching for kids and parents.
Tara currently lives in Ottawa with her two young children and her Frenchton Bruno. She used to be a competitive ice-dancer for Canada for many years. Feel free to ask her about it!
