Dr. Ayan Dey (MD, PhD) is a senior psychiatry resident at the University of Toronto and chief resident of the clinician scientist program. He completed his undergraduate degree in neuroscience at McMaster, and graduated from the university of Toronto MD.PhD program in 2015 after completing his graduate training in cognitive neuroscience with a focus on cognitive rehabilitation for brain injury populations. Over the course of his residency, he established clinical interests in neuropsychiatry with a special interest in the overlap between sleep, cognition and mental health. He has published over 16 book chapters and journal articles and is the recipient of numerous academic awards for excellence in teaching and research contributions.
