Dr. Ayan Dey (MD, PhD) is a psychiatrist with a specialized interest in neuropsychiatry, executive dysfunction, sleep medicine, and treatment resistant mood and anxiety disorders. He is a recent graduate of the University of Toronto Psychiatry program where he served as chief resident of the clinician scientist program. Dr. Dey completed his undergraduate degree in neuroscience at McMaster, and graduated from the university of Toronto MD.PhD program in 2015 after completing his graduate training in cognitive neuroscience with a focus on cognitive rehabilitation for brain injury populations.
Over the course of his residency, he developed clinical expertise in neuropsychiatry with a special interest in the overlap between sleep, cognition and mental health. He has published over 18 book chapters and journal articles and is the recipient of numerous academic awards for excellence in teaching and research contributions.
At Possibilities Clinic, he started and currently leads the ADHD and Sleep program. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Dey is a consultant liaison psychiatrist at North York General Hospital and a member of the integrated health services team and brain stimulation team at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences.
