I completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology at Carleton University, where I developed a strong interest in developmental psychology and working with children and youth. Through both my academic studies and experience working with young people, I have gained a deeper understanding of children’s cognitive, emotional and social development, and have learned the importance of adapting teaching and communication styles to support different learning needs and strengths. While working at Carleton University’s Wellness Desk, I supported neurodiverse students, including those with ADHD, by breaking down information into manageable steps, repeating or rephrasing key points, and helping students develop strategies to stay organized and follow through with tasks. These experiences have reinforced my passion for creating supportive environments where youth can feel encouraged, understood, and empowered.
In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar, as well as staying active through basketball and spending time with family and friends.
