WHY NOW?
6 Reasons to Get an Updated ADHD Assessment
Life changes. Symptoms shift. Medications stop working. This service exists for those moments.
Symptoms Have Shifted
Hyperactivity in childhood often becomes internal restlessness in adults. An updated assessment captures where you are now.
New Academic Demands
Transitioning to university, graduate school, or professional programs increases cognitive load — and may expose new challenges.
Career Transition
A new role with different executive demands can change how ADHD shows up day-to-day. Get your treatment recalibrated.
Medication Plateau
What worked two years ago may not be optimal today. New medications and formulations may be a better fit.
Accommodation Renewal
Schools and employers require current documentation. Our report includes detailed accommodations.
Rule Out Comorbidities
Anxiety, depression, and other conditions can mimic or co-exist with ADHD. We screen for the full picture.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything You Need to Know
Our service involves a Nurse Practitioner–Psychometrist team and includes three core sessions:
1. Initial Medical Intake (50 minutes): The Nurse Practitioner gathers updated medical information about your symptoms, daily functioning, and the effectiveness of your current Medication Treatment Plan along with other therapies you’ve tried.
2. Psychometric Testing: In a separate session, standardized testing administered by a Psychometrist evaluates attention, impulsivity, and other dimensions of ADHD. Questionnaire measures assess current functioning and help determine whether additional diagnoses such as anxiety or depression may be present.
3. Feedback Session: The Nurse Practitioner meets with you to discuss the results. You will receive a report that can be used for accommodations at work or school. Additional therapies like ADHD Coaching, therapy for anxiety, or evidence-based interventions may also be recommended. If you’re interested in ADHD medication, the NP will discuss medication options with you.
No. You do not need a referral from a Primary Care Physician or Nurse Practitioner. You can get started by completing our Intake Form.
Yes. If you were assessed elsewhere, we ask that you share a copy of your previous assessment report with us. Our team will review the report to determine whether the diagnostic process was comprehensive and rigorous. We look for evidence that clinical interviews, questionnaire data, and rating scales of focus and executive functioning were part of your previous assessment.
If the previous report meets our standards, you will qualify for the ADHD Direct Update Assessment. If not, we’ll recommend a comprehensive assessment — either our ADHD Direct Assessment or our Signature ADHD & Mental Health Assessment — to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
If your previous assessment was completed at Possibilities Clinic, your report is already in our medical system and you automatically qualify.
You may seek an ADHD Direct Update Assessment if your previous report — from Possibilities Clinic or elsewhere — was completed within the last 10 years. If your previous assessment is older than 10 years, we recommend a full ADHD Direct Assessment or a Signature ADHD & Mental Health Assessment to verify the diagnosis and create a tailored Treatment Plan.
Only Medical Doctors are covered by OHIP. Allied health professionals like Nurse Practitioners and Psychometrists are not. Please check with your insurance provider to see if assessment services provided by a Nurse Practitioner are covered.
If your insurance provider offers coverage for psychology services, consider our Signature ADHD & Mental Health Assessment, which includes a Psychologist or Psychological Associate working with Physicians and falls under Psychological Services offerings.

Yes. Following the assessment, you have the option to enter our Medication Optimization phase. A Nurse Practitioner will work with you to find the right medication and dosage over a series of monthly appointments ($100 per session).
Once the optimal medication and dose are determined, you can continue with Continued Treatment — regular check-ins roughly every 3 months to manage refills and make adjustments as needed ($100 per session).
Both Medication Optimization and Continued Treatment are optional and not included in the $800 assessment fee.
Yes. You will receive a detailed report that includes recommended accommodations to help support daily functioning in settings like school or work.
