This webinar is for anyone interested in the visual arts, has a creative flair, or has been meaning to get in touch with their creative side – especially those interested in how these experiences can support executive functioning. The webinar will explore what executive function skills are and how the art making process can support exercising these skills. You’ll hear ideas about how you can experiment with different art practices to support yourself, or people in your life, that are developing their executive function muscles.
Registered Psychotherapist
Teresa Petosa (she/they) is a Registered Psychotherapist, a professional member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association and an Ontario Certified Teacher. Through her work, Teresa has seen how difficult emotions in children, teens, and adults can be eased through exploration in creative endeavours.
As an ADHD Coach at the clinic, Teresa continues to witness the endless possibilities that arise for those who value their strengths and commit to addressing their challenges. Teresa has experience working with children and teens in school and clinical settings, addressing needs surrounding anxiety, learning differences, and social-emotional challenges.
She has supported adults in psychiatric outpatient settings by facilitating groups that focused on mood regulation, anxiety relief and self-care. She has also facilitated group work with older adults in physical rehabilitation, focusing on quality of life, expressing emotions and promoting social connection.
At Possibilities, Teresa uses an integrative approach that includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in her work with children, teens, and adults as an ADHD Coach. Teresa enjoys sharing her artistic flair with clients who choose to doodle in the coaching programs as a fun way to achieve goals!
