Dr. Kehinde Adekunle Aladetoyinbo completed his medical degree MB; BS in the University of Ilorin, Nigeria in 1997, Diploma in International Health DIH in the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland in 2000 and psychiatry residency was in the Dublin University Psychiatry rotational training program. He successfully completed membership examinations of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, United Kingdom MRCPsych in 2007. He successfully completed the Canadian Psychiatry certification examinations in 2014 and attained his FRCPC designation in Psychiatry in 2014. He is also a board certified Independent Medical Examiner CIME through the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners (ABIME).
He commenced psychiatry practice in Ireland in 2007.
He practiced in New Brunswick, Canada between 2008 and 2017. During this period, he provided services in the Hospital Based Psychiatry services and in an after-hours outpatient psychiatry clinic. In addition to clinical psychiatry, he also provided medical education to medical students and residents and attained the academic position Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Dalhousie University, he served the department as Clinical and Academic Head of Psychiatry between 2015 and 2017.
Dr. Aladetoyinbo successfully completed training in rTMS (repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation) at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, Boston in 2016. He has also attended rTMS training courses at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), Toronto.Between 2018 and September 2022, He served as consultant psychiatrist providing inpatient and outpatient services, and Clinical lead for ECT and rTMS in the Department of Psychiatry, Bluewater Health, Sarnia, Ontario. He commenced private psychiatry practice in October 2022
