WHY NOW?
Demands change. Symptoms shift. Medications become less effective. This service supports new possibilities.
Hyperactivity in childhood often becomes internal restlessness in adults. An updated assessment captures where you are now.
Transitioning to university, graduate school, or professional programs increases cognitive load — and may expose new challenges.
A new role with different executive demands can change how ADHD shows up day-to-day. Get your treatment recalibrated.
What worked two years ago may not be optimal today. New medications and formulations may be a better fit.
Schools and employers require current documentation. Our report includes detailed accommodations.
Anxiety, depression, and other conditions can mimic or co-exist with ADHD. Our experts examine the full picture.

THE POSSIBILITIES DIFFERENCE
A Psychometrist administers standardized cognitive and attentional testing – the gold standard for ADHD evaluation – and a Multidisciplinary Team interprets it. Many clinics rely on a brief call and self-report scales alone.
Your reassessment brings together a Physician (MD), a Nurse Practitioner (NP) & a Registered Psychologist/Psychological Associate. Medical and mental health expertise are combined so nothing gets missed.
Because a Psychologist/Psychological Associate is part of the Assessment Team, this assessment falls under Psychological Services – so many private insurance plans will reimburse part or all of the assessment fee. Please check with your provider.
You receive a detailed report with updated accommodations for school or work, as well as therapy recommendations – not a one-paragraph note.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our service involves a Nurse Practitioner (NP), a Psychologist/Psychological Associate and a Psychiatrist (MD) and includes 6 core sessions:
The ADHD Direct Update Assessment and Treatment Planning Service involves a Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Psychometrist who are seen over a series of 3 appointments. The Signature ADHD Update Assessment and Treatment Planning Service involves a larger Multidisciplinary Team with a Nurse Practitioner (NP), Psychologist/Psychological Associate, Psychometrist and Psychiatrist, who are seen over 6 appointments.
No. You do not need a referral from a Primary Care Physician or Nurse Practitioner. You can get started by completing our Intake Form
Yes. If you were assessed elsewhere, we ask that you share a copy of your previous assessment report with us. Our team will review the report to determine whether the diagnostic process was comprehensive and rigorous. We look for evidence that clinical interviews, questionnaire data, and rating scales of focus and executive functioning were part of your previous assessment.
If the previous report meets our standards, you will qualify for the ADHD Direct Update Assessment. If not, we’ll recommend a comprehensive assessment — either our ADHD Direct Assessment or our Signature ADHD & Mental Health Assessment — to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
If your previous assessment was completed at Possibilities Clinic, your report is already in our medical system and you automatically qualify.
You may seek an updated assessment if your previous report — from Possibilities Clinic or elsewhere — was completed within the last 10 years. If your previous assessment is older than 10 years, we recommend a full ADHD Direct Assessment or a Signature ADHD & Mental Health Assessment to verify the diagnosis and create a tailored Treatment Plan.
Only Medical Doctors are covered by OHIP. Allied health professionals like Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists/Psychological Associates, and Psychometrists are not. Since Psychology is a core part of the Signature ADHD Update’s Multidisciplinary Team, this assessment falls under our Psychological Services. Please check with your insurance provider to see if assessment services provided by a Psychologist/Psychological Associate are covered.

Yes. Following the assessment, you have the option to enter our Medication Optimization phase. A Nurse Practitioner will work with you to find the right medication and dosage over a series of monthly appointments ($100 per session).
Once the optimal medication and dose are determined, you can continue with Continued Treatment — regular check-ins roughly every 3 months to manage refills and make adjustments as needed ($100 per session).
Both Medication Optimization and Continued Treatment are optional and not included in the $2,700 assessment fee.
Yes. You will receive a detailed report that includes recommended accommodations to help support daily functioning in settings like school or work.
In your NP Treatment Planning session, the Nurse Practitioner will discuss potential medication treatment options if an ADHD diagnosis has been reconfirmed. If the NP discusses medication as an important component of your treatment, you’ll have the option of having your medication adjusted, optimized, and prescribed through Possibilities after the assessment at a cost of $100 per session.
Possibilities Clinic is virtual-first, meaning most of our assessments are done through secure video sessions. Appointments with the Nurse Practitioner, Psychologist/Psychological Associate and Psychiatrist all happen virtually. For some clients—particularly younger children—the testing with the Psychometrist happens in-person at our Toronto office. For most clients the Psychometry testing session happens virtually. What is preferable for the testing session with the Psychometrist can be discussed with our Care Team when you book your appointments.
If you have received an assessment at the Possibilities Clinic previously, a 10% discount through our Loyalty Program will be applied to the cost of our Signature ADHD Update Assessment, or to our ADHD Direct Update Assessment and Treatment Planning Service if you choose that option.
