Dyslexia is one of the most common yet misunderstood learning challenges. Children and adults with dyslexia struggle to read because their brains process sounds and words differently. While dyslexia often overlaps with ADHD, it is a distinct condition that requires its own identification and support.

The encouraging news is that dyslexia is treatable. Research and brain imaging studies show that with the right evidence-based interventions, the brain can “rewire” itself to build strong reading pathways. Early help—ideally before the end of Grade 2—gives children the greatest advantage. But science also shows it is never too late: teens and adults can make real, lasting progress.

In this talk, Dr. Brenda Miles, a Clinical Paediatric Neuropsychologist, will explore what science reveals about dyslexia and the ways the brain can adapt to reading challenges. Attendees will gain insights and a fresh perspective on what is possible for readers of all ages.  We hope you’ll join us for an inspiring evening!
