Dr. Sharon Zikman (she/her) is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist (certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada). She has over 25 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence -based psychiatric care for children, adolescents and adults, with a particular interest working with transitional age youth. Prior to joining the Possibilities Clinic, she has worked in diverse settings, including providing direct psychiatric care for students at the University of Toronto, designing and implementing a regional telepsychiatry program for youth in Simcoe County, and providing both inpatient and outpatient care for children and youth in the Northwest Territories and the Kitikmeot region of Nunavut. Her areas of interest include the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders, OCD, depression and bipolar disorder. She is a Lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and is an avid cyclist.
