Elaine Kerr (she/her) is an experienced risk management and insurance professional with over 13 years of specialized expertise in risk mitigation, claims management, and control frameworks, and more than 30 years of experience working in the social impact and non-profit sectors. She has worked in national charitable organizations and large-scale property management environments, supporting complex portfolios and diverse stakeholders across Canada. She is known for building strong systems that improve consistency and operational efficiency. Previously, Elaine spent over a decade as a National Risk Management Specialist, where she provided organization-wide consultation on risk controls, delivered training and educational workshops, and managed insurance and claims programs nationally. Earlier in her career, she held progressive roles in training, audit support, and regional operations, developing internal control frameworks and delivering staff and volunteer training. Elaine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and is a Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designee, with additional professional training in accessibility and insurance. She brings a thoughtful, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach to her work, combining analytical rigor with a deep understanding of mission-driven organizations and the people who support them.
