Jenny Wells (she/her) is a clinically trained psychotherapist, licensed through the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She is also licensed as a certified practitioner through the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC). Jenny holds a Master of Divinity degree through Tyndale Seminary, with years of intensive post-graduate clinical study through the University of Toronto and the National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine. She has partnered extensively with multi-disciplinary medical teams in hospital emergency rooms, operating theatres, complex care, long-term care, psychiatric, and palliative wards. Her trauma-informed focus has involved working with clients facing grievous life-losses. It has also involved her leading several group process programs as well.
After having worked within a number of Toronto hospitals, today Jenny partners with individuals and families. Her experience includes working with non-binary and BIPOC clients.
During her career Jenny has had the privilege of interviewing leading neuroscientists and other medical specialists. She is a strong proponent of the psychotherapeutic integration of evidence-based and ‘gold-standard’ modalities; and approaches her work through the lens of empowered collaboration. This means designing a partnership with her clients for achieving goals and exploring what can be possible in the reframing of thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and memories.
