COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENTS FOR A RANGE OF ISSUES
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT Psychotherapy)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for ADHD is an effective and proven treatment for adolescents and young adults with ADHD. Our therapists work with techniques developed by Dr. Mary Solanto at the NYU School of Medicine that can counteract the daily effects of ADHD and lead to better functioning at school, home and work. Our therapists can also use CBT to treat the anxiety and depression symptoms that people with ADHD often develop. We are also able to provide a specialized form of CBT for the Obsessive-Compulsive symptoms associated with Tourette Syndrome, and compulsive hair-pulling and skin-picking disorders.

Executive Functioning Therapies
Children, adolescents and adults with ADD/ADHD and Learning Disabilities often have issues with memory, planning, organizing, and strategizing their work; what psychologists call Executive Functioning. Our clinicians can work with our clients and on remediating Executive Functioning and find strategies that work for optimal success.
Collaborative & Proactive Solutions Psychotherapy (CPS)
Collaborative & Proactive Solutions Therapy (CPS) is a remarkably effective and research proven therapy that addresses behavioural issues that often occur together with ADD/ADHD. Our psychologists work in a positive, skills-based framework to help children, adolescents and their families deal with common issues such as oppositional behaviour, issues with impulsivity, and setting limits for computer and screen time. Collaborative & Proactive Solutions Psychotherapy was developed by Dr. Ross Greene and Harvard Medical School.
Family Therapy
ADHD doesn’t only affect the individual but the whole family. Families affected by ADHD often develop dysfunctional patterns and parent-child conflicts that in themselves become impairing. Our social workers can help families work together towards common goals of happiness and success. We offer both in-clinic and in-home family therapy.
Occupational Therapy
Many children, adolescents and adults with ADD/ADHD, Tourette Syndrome, Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders require help with coordination, fine motor issues and sensory skills and self- and emotional regulation issues. Our occupational therapist can work to address these using evidence based treatments. We offer both in-clinic and in-home occupational therapy.
Speech and Language Therapy
Children who struggle to be understood by others, communicate their ideas, understand information or use appropriate social skills could have a speech and/or language delay.  Our Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) uses evidence-based practices to help improve your child’s overall communication skills and provide strategies to target these skills in your child’s everyday environment.
Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT)
Comprehensive Behavioural Intervention for Tics (CBIT) is an innovative and effective non-medication treatment for Tics and Tourette Syndrome administered by a psychologist. Our clinic is one of the few centres in Ontario to offer CBIT, a research proven method that gives control and hope back to those suffering from Tourette Syndrome and Tics.
Medication Therapy
Whether or not to use medications is never an easy decision, but sometimes, despite the best efforts of our clients and their family, therapy on its own is not enough. Our psychologists and clinicians may suggest a consultation with our psychiatrists to discuss medication options. The psychiatrists will work with your child’s pediatrician or family physician to find a solution that works best for your child and family.
Consultations with our medical staff may be partially covered under OHIP. Fees for psychometric materials apply to all services and are not covered by OHIP. Appointments with our psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists and speech language pathologists may be covered by private insurance plans.
